Hand dyed fibres for feltmaking and spinning
Hand dyed Shetland tops. Great for feltmaking, Shetland wool felts as quickly and as well as Merino. Produced in the UK, where there are high welfare standards for sheep and unlike Merino or Corriedale has not travelled across the world. Dyed in small batches in my studio using dyes which have minimum impact on the environment and because its hand dyed there are some beautiul varigated and rainbow shades as well as plain colours. |

Shetland Tops
Shetland tops in four natural colours for spinning and feltmaking.
The bradford count of Shetland wool is usually in the upper 50's to lower 60's and it has a micron count of 20 -25 microns. The staple length is 2 to 4.5 inches or 50-120mm. |
